A full year after release, Battlefield 1 will finally see Operations Mode expand into something a little more accessible.
Though only debuting in Battlefield 1 - and the series as a whole - at release last year, players have been unable to search for specific Operations matches through the in-game server browser.
Today, that finally changes. With the servers being knocked offline for short 2-hour maintinence, Battlefield 1 will welcome its October update. Details about the patch as a whole are relatively slim, but hopefully either DICE or the community themselves will eventually uncover each tweak.

What we do know, however, is that the Campaigns variant of the Operation gamemode won't be coming today. Originally scheduled to land with the October update, the longer attack and defend gamemode won't arrive until the following November update with Eastern Storm being the first.
That's all to entertain Battlefield players until the Turning Tides expansion hits in December. To accomdate today's changes, the PC servers will spur back up at 10AM BST.
