Two former PS4 exclusives, the excellent horror adventure Until Dawn and David Cage's latest adventure Beyond: Two Souls, are now available to play legally on PC thanks to Sony making them available on their Playstation Now streaming service. This appears to currently only be in the UK although this should get rolled out worldwide soon.
Your Burning Questions About Playstation Now on PC!
The best PlayStation Now games to play on PC (which we might have to update now)!
Until Dawn is an excellent horror adventure game developed by UK developer Supermassive Games, done the Heavy Rain QTE style, and many gamers believe the game perfected that style in a way that Heavy Rain creator David Cage and Quantic Dream couldn't do. Quantic Dream's latest, Beyond: Two Souls, stars Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe and deals with Page's character growing up with a ghost companion called Aidan. It received mixed reviews but was generally praised for being playable by even non-gamers.
Both these games are otherwise only available on PS4, having both been published by Sony, and marks the continuation of Sony's promise to bring PS4 games to their Playstation Now service. Their inclusion was announced by the Playstation official website. Other than these titles though the most significant PS4 game on PS Now is Killzone Shadowfall, with the rest being PS3 titles such as The Last of Us, Heavy Rain and Red Dead Redemption.
Of course the big question is whether Playstation Now will get more subscribers, as it's still quite expensive at £12.99/$19.99 a month even with great Sony or console exclusives on there. We can certainly confirm that the service itself ran flawlessly for us, but unless you're stuck for new games and really, really want to play some great console exclusives it might not be worth it. Still, if you think you can play Until Dawn in 7 days just sign up for a free trial and play it that way. You can always cancel a subscription too - we personally just played the Uncharted trilogy in one month then cancelled our payments easily.
Does Until Dawn or Beyond: Two Souls want to make you try out the PS Now service? Or are you still staying far away from it? Let us know in the comments!
