With the training regime mode having been part of Rocket League for some time now, Psyonix are starting to outline the best player submitted training maps. This time around, they're focusing on the skills needed to push you into the upper tiers - aerial shots.
The 'rocket' in Rocket League many mean its various vehicles are capable of some extreme 0-60mph times, but they're also very good getting some serious airtime. In the hands of the right player, this can mean scoring goals the rest of the team have little chance of defending.
There's been a Psyonix developed Aerial Training Mode' in-game for quite some time now, but with player-submitted variants, it's now much easier to find custom training courses more suited to your particular skill bracket. Thankfully, Psyonix themselves have picked out a number of the best, and across a range of difficulty levels, too. Hop into the game and slot in these codes:
- Difficulty: Silver
- Basic Rebound Practice - 3DBA-229E-745C-429C
- Difficulty: Gold
- Easy Backboard Rebound Shots - 2719-4FBA-A810-0B47
- Freestyle Confidence Booster - E5A4-4C29-BBCF-1F9D
- Difficulty: Platinum
- Freestyle Angle Shots Vol.2 - 5F4B-53F1-CC4C-A55E
- Sensitive Freestyle Training - 5A4C-C195-64C7-557A

- Awkward Shooties - 761E-8C2F-53CD-14F5
- Difficulty: Grand Champion
- Lauridis Redirect - BCD5-84FC-6884-3CAB
And there you go! Aerial training programs for almost everyone. Though the idea of aerial shots may sound cool, they're incredibly difficult to get to grips with. Training programs and hard practice will certainly help you game, but anyone who isn't up for that kind of commitment should rest known it isn't an essential skill unless you're hoping to climb into the high escolons of the Rocket League ranks.
Play naturally, however, and you'll still stick around in the Silver tiers, at least. And, should you eventually want to progress, there's always time.
