Destiny is officially PC-bound with Destiny 2. Being Bungie's first PC title since the early Halo days, there was once plenty of reason to worry about how the console experience would 'port' over to PC. Though they've proven many times already that the PC version will be properly optimized, a dedicated PC launch trailer cements the idea.
Releasing in just over a week now, it's clear the extra time Bungie took to work on the PC version of Destiny 2 will be worth the wait. Promising 4K resolution and uncapped framerate support, they're even set to support ultra-wide screens with a fairly unconventional 21:9 aspect ratio - or 32:9 for you Samsung C49HG90 users.
And although we've had convention demos, a beta event, trailers and gameplay videos demonstrate just how smooth Bungie's mega-expensive world can look on even a mid-range gaming PC, they've pieced together a separate PC launch trailer to showcase it all once more.

Of course, the trailer is rendered in 4K and supports YouTube's 60FPS playback. The result is a silky smooth cinema-style trailer that makes sure to include Digital Foundry's praise of the port in which they claimed Destiny 2 to be "one of the most technically accomplished PC versions we've ever seen". Essentially, PC players will likely be using Destiny 2's impeccable PC performance to berate whichever publisher decides to send out a rushed, unoptimized port in the future. We don't want it to happen, but it probably will.
Destiny 2 lands on PC on October 24 exclusively through the Blizzard Launcher.
