The Spooky Pack is available now for Planet Coaster, just in time for Halloween... in over a month's time. Frontier are one punctual developer.
ORIGINAL STORY:
It's amazing to think that up until now, Planet Coaster has only received a few bits of cheaply priced movie-themed DLC. That's all set to change as Frontier have announced their first proper DLC expansion for Planet Coaster, simply titled "Spooky Pack". We don't have any screenshots yet, or even if that's the proper title, but we do have all the details - including some free DLC, too.

The Spooky Pack is timed for Halloween and is for "horror lovers and dark side fanatics". It contains:
- Two new powered tracked rides, The Hoax and The Huntsman
- A spooky themed wall set and static and animated attachments
- Special effects
- Shop fronts
- Path extras, doors and windows, fences
- Triggerable coaster doors
- Themed custom signs and facility signs
- Themed hats for your Planco avatars
- A new entertainer, King Ghoster!
From the press release about those two rides:
"The Hoax is a free-spinning haunted house ride with a tight track that twists and turns through each corner, and the Huntsman is Planet Coaster’s first ever motion platform ride which rotates on an axis and fits the theme perfectly. As always, the rides are fully customisable so it can fit your park just the way you want it to."
Perhaps even better, a third totally free coaster ride will be released at the same time, the In-Descent. This is a rapid steel shuttle coaster "not created for the faint-hearted" - sounds awesome! We've really been impressed with the amount of content Planet Coaster has available... but will everyone be satisfied with the price? It's £7.99/$10.99/€10.99, which isn't that much but it's certainly the most expensive DLC pack released so far. What do you think guys? Do you want to see more of the Spooky Pack first or does it sound fine for that price already?
The Spooky Pack DLC for Planet Coaster has a release date of September 25, as mentioned priced £7.99/$10.99/€10.99. The In-Descent coaster will be out on the same day, but that will be free to everyone.
