In a smart decision that should have be taken before the game launched, really, Ubisoft removed the VR requirement for Star Trek: Bridge Crew and will allow players on the PC and PS4 to enjoy the experience without a gizmo strapped to their face.
Delivered in a free update that also brings Windows Mixed Reality support (for the Hololens), the non-VR mode works seamlessly with the main game and allows both VR and non-VR players to play together.

The game is playable with a mouse and keyboard or controller, and the new update makes the whole product playable, including the USS Aegis campaign and the Ongoing voyages procedural mode where you get to sit aboard the original USS Enterprise.
Star Trek: Bridge Crew is available now for PC and PS4.
