Cast your mind back to last month and you may remember Rebellion stating how and when players would get their hands on the 3-part Sniper Elite 4 'Deathstorm' campaign. With Part 2 then scheduled for 'Late April', that day is today.
Part 1 dubbed 'Inception' released on March 21 with fans then quickly eyeballing the proposed April release of the second leg. Without so much as a mention of its expected due date, it's just gone live. Right now.
Deathstorm: Infiltration is title of the second leg of the 1-2 player bonus campaign. After recovering the 'Deathstorm' package, Karl Fairburne is dispatched to Italy to dig up the Nazis plans of a new weapon. Infiltrating Niroli is key with the main focus being to rescue the wife of a prominant Italian scientist - a known Allied informant - before all hell breaks loose.
Much like Deathstorm Part 1, today's update isn't all about those willing to shell out more money for a more 'complete' experience. A huge free update rolls out alongside it bringing the new 'Urban' map, Capture the Flag gamemode and a bunch of tweaks. The 'Urban Assault' pack arrives too, for those looking for new weapons and skins. That one will set you back, however - just not as much as the campaign.
Now all that's left is to wonder whether the conclusion to the Deathstorm campaign will make a May release. Previous dates have kept both May and June free for the release depending on how much time Rebellion need to finalize the content.
Need a copy? While a basic copy on Green Man Gaming won't break the bank, you'll have to pick up the Season Pass to get in on this particular main update. The best way to do that is to grab the Deluxe Edition for £51.99.
