With Monday officially being one of the saddest days of the week, what if you could come home to a colourful shared-world survival MMORPG? Tree of Life: Beyond the Journey now sits at 20% off with all its DLC included. And it looks like a pretty relaxing sandbox experience.
Releasing last month on Steam, creative sandbox MMO, 'Tree of Life: Beyond the Journey' certainly didn't slip under the radar like most Steam releases. Even with the platform releasing more games than any other year in its life this time around, developers OddenGames and New Bricks managed to stand out enough to garner just shy of 5,000 user reviews.
Sitting on a 'Mostly Positive' rating - which, in an age of review bombing, is a solid achievement in itself - Tree of Life: Beyond the Journey promises a survival sandbox where teaming up to build your village or town is just as important as fending off would-be attackers. Like any good MMO, it encourages player flexibility. Fight off monsters one day and cook and impressive meal for your group the next.
Looking for some darker adventure titles? There's a few on our 'Best of' list!
There have never been any Planet of the Apes videogames, and it's the 1963 novel's fault
It may not be the most visually striking MMO on the market today, but its softer, and somewhat charming, visuals mean this one is capable of running on far older PCs and laptops than you might expect. And with a 4-pack available at a reduced cost, it could be one to consider for your family, social circles or younger cousins. Check out the trailer down below for a little more insight.
Interested? Here's where it gets a little strange. While Steam may be offering the base game at £14.99, Oddonegames and Neobricks are currently running their own somewhat secret promotion. Whereas the base game and its DLC items featured in the 'Adventurer' pack would usually cost £18.99 on Steam, you can grab it directly from them for 20% less, placing it at roughly the same price as the base game alone.
