Agent 47 is done with you - or the world - just yet. Ahead of whatever IO Interactive has planned for Season 2 of HITMAN, things are about to get a little tougher.
If Paris, Japan and all the other places Agent 47 visited last year for some good old-fashioned murder were a little on the easy side for you, fear not! The January update is about to add the 'Professional' difficulty.
It probably won't turn you into a legitimate professional assassin - Square Enix don't need that on their shoulders alongside the declining Japanese market right now - but it will give you a chance to breathe new life into a game that turned out to be better than most people were expecting.

So if you're done popping off Elusive Targets and can't wait for Season 2, the January update might just tide you over a little while if you're up for retracing your steps. But you have to unlock it first - just like the good old days - by reaching Master Level 20 in whichever of the story missions you're hoping to revisit. There's a long list explaining just how things are about to get tricky up above.
Side missions and elusive contracts won't see the changes this month, but every story mission throughout the main game will soon have the option to be switched between Professional and the standard 'Normal' difficulty. Tread lightly, agent.
