Rebellion has announced that it will release Battlezone Gold Edition for the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on 1st May. This was originally released as a VR title, but with this Gold Edition it will now be fully playable without it.
Battlezone was originally released in October, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, and then later on the PC with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive in May, 2017. The Gold Edition will include all the additional content that has been released for the game since launch, along with that classic mode based on the original's 80s arcade cabinet.
The best part about this is that anyone that already owns Battlezone on PC or PlayStation 4, will automatically upgrade to the Gold Edition. This means you'll get all the released content for free, in addition to not needing a VR headset.
Battlezone Gold Edition will be released on 1st May for PC and PlayStation 4, it will also be coming to the Xbox One for the first time, and there's plans to bring it to Nintendo Switch this summer as well. It'll cost you £29.99.
