If you don't know about Total War: Arena, it's an online-only spin-off of the series offering 10-vs-10 battles with the factions of Greeks, Romans, and Barbarians - and now Carthage too. Perhaps most importantly, all progress and battlefield experience earned by players in Open Beta will be carried over when the game officially launches.
Gabor Beressy, Total War: Arena Game Director at Creative Assembly, had this to say about today's launch of the Open Beta:
"A passion for history and multiplayer gaming, combined with years of fine-tuning and hard work from both our developers and our valued players, has gone into bringing this Open Beta to the public. We can’t wait for new players to try out this unique Total War multiplayer experience, while we work on more factions and features to add to the Total War: ARENA experience."
Total War: Arena is a collaboration between Creative Assembly, SEGA, and Wargaming Alliance. For more information about Total War: Arena, head to the website here.
