Many Xenomorphs crawl through Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s dark hallways, pressuring you into pushing through to the next objective. But if you can fight your fear and thoroughly explore its levels, you’ll find Hidden Caches that get you some cool extra rewards.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s Hidden Caches resemble the consumable crates you interact with during lengthier defense sequences, their orange color and two yellow lights making it easy to differentiate between them. You can find them only during campaign levels and, as their name suggests, they have a tendency to not wait in plain sight.
The locations of Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s Hidden Caches seem to be randomized. We’ve found a few of them by simply looking behind us or to the side while moving through a level, but others are obscured behind paths you might not immediately spot and may require putting on your explorer hat.
As far as rewards go, they can get you anything from emotes to skins, gun attachments, and even new weapons, provided you don’t already have them. For this reason alone, it may well be worth looking for them.
Once you’ve opened a Hidden Cache, you can access their rewards even if you don’t see the level through to its end. You can also ping them to share their location with your team.
