Publisher Focus Home Entertainment and developer Cold Iron Studios have announced that Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s Season 2 is now live across all platforms. The second season’s main addition is its Point Defense game mode, which acts as a fast-paced alternative to its existing Horde mode.
Although they’re both focused on defending locations, Point Defense asks players to protect, repair, and hold three different strategic points as waves of Xenomorphs attempt to overrun them. Fabrication Points earned as you survive can be used to purchase temporary consumables that aid you in your efforts.
In addition, 20 new rewards can be unlocked by playing the new mode on various difficulties. Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s Season 2 also introduces four new weapons that you can use against the Xenomorph threat, so you’ll certainly want to pay SSgt Park a visit at the armory.
The premium Endeavor Pass also gets expanded with the Nostromo Salvage Pack, which brings multiple new cosmetics and also rewards those who own it with in-game currency.
Those who do not own the Endeavor Pass can purchase the Nostromo Salvage Pack individually for the price of $9.99/€9.99 or your regional equivalent.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite’s Year 1 roadmap has two more seasons’ worth of content in store for players throughout 2022, with one new class and game mode on the way. We scored the game a 7 in our review, calling it “an unapologetically loud action movie in video game form.”
