Alpha Protocol is returning to digital stores on PC, following what will be a 5-year absence after it was removed due to soundtrack copyright issues.
GOG is bringing 2010’s Underrated Spy RPG back, DRM-free, and it says work has been done to ensure it runs well and is compatible with modern machines.

The licensed soundtrack has been restored and controller support has been improved, so Dualsense, DualShock 4, Nintendo Switch Pro, and Xbox controllers will all work.
Achievements have been added and Cloud saves should now be useable.
Alpha Protocol marked Obsidian Entertainment’s debut on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as an Espionage RPG. It offered players a captivating narrative following secret agent Michael Thorton, with a plot that evolved dynamically based on the player’s decisions and actions.
Alpha Protocol didn’t receive the best critical reception upon its release, but players who persevered beyond the early issues often look back on it with fondness.
We contacted SEGA to inquire whether it would be accessible on Steam or through backwards compatibility for the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 on the PlayStation Store and Microsoft Store. We didn’t receive a response at the time of publishing.
