Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass has had some of its details revealed, alongside the special limited time event information that you, too - if you're a fan of Apex - will definitely be interested in. With special rewards and features, there's lots of exciting stuff to talk about!
The game's Legendary Hunt event is going to come bearing appropriately-themed items, but Respawn Entertainment has also announced Double XP periods, Elite Queues, and various other goodies that may well spice things up - finally.
Apex Legends Legendary Hunt Event Details
The event is set to kick off next Tuesday, on 4th of June, and will take place over the following two weeks. In order to participate and earn some of the rewards showcased above, players may engage in a variety of activities both casual and difficult.
Most prominent of the coming features is definitely the so-called Elite Queue, where the best of the best will have to continuously place in the top 5 positions each match to keep taking part in this activity. The Legendary Hunt Challenges will likely be at least somewhat more casual, while the Double XP weekened starting on 7th of June is bound to bolster your XP accretion across the board.
Apex Legends Season 2 Battle Pass Changes
There's a substantial explanation to be found on what changes are coming with Season 2 Battle Pass on the official blog, where changes were revealed, but here's the bottom line:
- level up via Daily and Weekly Challenges
- significantly reduced the time necessary to reach level 100
- three additional Legendary-tier skins added to the rewards track
- three entirely new content categories to replace Badge and Stat Tracker rewards
- greatly increased Crafting Material rewards
Whether that's enough to stave off Apex Legends' substantial loss of popularity and player retention remains to be seen, but Respawn Entertainment certainly seem to be on the right track, if nothing else.
