Apex Legends continues to build on its strong start following its surprising release. An increasingly major player in the battle royale space, it has gathered a significant playerbase, but also the attention of data miners.
After an Apex Legends leak revealed the Havoc rifle, which later made it into the game, dataminers have found that players looking for some nocturnal battle royale action might have a Night Mode coming their way.
The Apex Legends Night Mode leak was revealed by the RealApexLeaks Twitter page via user AustinScriver.
A discovered line of code reading "”Script_SetTimeshiftTimeOfDay_Night”” is what suggests that things might be getting dark in Apex Legends soon.
Of course, as neither developer Respawn Entertainment nor publisher EA have commented on the finding, it’s hard to know whether (or when) we might be seeing a Night Mode in Apex Legends. It would, however, be a welcome addition, since some extra variety to the game’s single map, even if just cosmetic, wouldn’t hurt.
LEAK: Also there's a Night Mode is development. That's one of the most requested features after a reddditor showed how the map would like in the Night.
