Bayek from Assassin's Creed Origins is now available in Assassin's Creed Odyssey! Here's how to unlock Assassin's Creed Odyssey Bayek, but what do you do if lieutenent Bayek is not unlocking?
We'll show you all the steps to unlock Bayek, but be warned, there may be bugs ahead...
How to Unlock Assassin's Creed Odyssey Bayek
Bayek is unlocked exactly like Evie from Assassin's Creed Syndicate, who is also available in Odyssey - well, on PC he's a lot easier actually. Simply go to the Ubisoft Club page and Club Rewards - or just Club Rewards for Assassin's Creed Odyssey on PC through Uplay. Bayek is there at the top of the page, and you can unlock him for 40 Ubisoft Club coins. You get these for completing objectives, and if you've been playing the game (or any Ubisoft title) you should easily have enough.
Unfortunately Bayek is not playable - he's a Legendary Lieutenant for your ship. Go to the Ship page on the menu, go to Lieutenants, and Bayek should be there to select. He adds +9% Rower Stamina, +9% Fire Power when Ramming, and +15% Rower Stamina refill after cleaving a ship in two. Not the greatest stats in the world admittedly, but very handy if you're the type of player who uses Ram a lot.
Now to the problems: many players, including ourselves, are having trouble unlocking Bayek. The same thing happened with Evie, and many players are still unable to recruit her. If you have unlocked Bayek and he isn't showing up in your inventory, then there are only a few possible options available to you to try and "force" his unlock:
1. Finish the game. You'll get another lieutenant and this should push him through. He's not very useful at this stage though.
2. Buy a new lieutenant through the store. Not ideal as this will cost real money.
3. Logout of your Ubisoft Club, or unlink your account - then log back in. You may have to do this a few times, in different ways.
4. Wait for Ubisoft to patch the game.
None of these situations are guaranteed unfortunately... which is why we don't have any pictures of him! We're waiting on option 4...
