How do you dual wield heavy weapons in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla? What helps Eivor equip two two-handed weapons at the same time?
Dual wielding two-handed weapons in AC Valhalla’s is something you’ll likely be interested in, especially if you favor a melee playstyle.
Eivor can dual wield one-handed weapons and even fight with two shields from the get-go by simply equipping them in the available weapon slots. Going big, however, requires a bit of a skill point investment.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla Dual Wield Heavy Weapons
You can only dual wield two-handed weapons in AC Valhalla once you’ve unlocked the skill from the game’s melee skill tree. Look for the one painted red.
The skill itself is found toward the left and requires spending at least 22 skill points to access it. This means you won’t be able to get it right from the start.
Heavy Dual Wield is one of the bigger nodes on the melee skill tree and you’ll get the option of picking up some other cool skills along the way.
But as awesome as dual wielding two-handed weapons in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla might sound, you have to be aware of its trade-offs.
Heavy weapons hit much harder than their smaller counterparts, but they also swing slower and take up more stamina that could, otherwise, be used to dodge attacks.
If you can make it work, however, this approach to fights can turn Eivor into an absolute beast.
