How do you unlock the Tonnastadir barred door in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla? Where exactly can you find the key for the locked door in the settlement?
Tonnastadir is found in the western part of AC Valhalla’s Ledecestrescire region. As you explore it, you’ll sooner or later bump into a house with four barred doors and seemingly no way to open them.
You’ll also have to fight and kill multiple guards on your way there but dispatching them poses no unique challenge.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla Tonnastadir Barred Door
The AC Valhalla house with four barred doors waits in the southeastern part of the settlement. You’ll know it when you see it and there’s no straightforward way to access it.
Like with other barred doors, you’ll have to break what’s holding them in place. This time, however, you have to do it using your bow and through a gap that’s not particularly obvious.
To open Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Tonnastadir Barred Door, you’ll have to fire a well-aimed arrow through the house’s small latticed windows.
The first-person camera, however, makes it tricky to properly line up your shot, so expect a bit of trial and error before you succeed. Odin’s Sight can prove rather invaluable, highlighting the area which you need to target.
Once you’ve landed one shot, use that door to enter the house. You’re free to explore its interior. Also look for a breakable portion of floor to grab additional loot.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla Tonnastadir Locked Door
Also in Tonnasdatir, you’ll find a locked door that’s guarded by two enemies. While the opponents themselves continue to not pose that big of a threat, you won’t get past the door without first finding its key.
The key that unlocks AC Valhalla’s Tonnastadir locked door waits on a table inside the longhouse. It’s hard to miss, as it’s the largest building in the settlement.
From the main entrance of the longhouse, the table with the Tonnastadir door key is located on the left side, in the back. Once you’ve grabbed it, return to the locked door and unlock it.
Take a few steps forward and you’ll have the option of either sliding to the bottom or reaching it using the platforms on the left.
Keep going forward and you’ll find yourself in a room with statues, pots and chests.
You can loot the chest right in front of you for the Huntsman Helm. It belongs to a set that increases your ranged damage against enemies that are further than 20 meters away.
Turn to the right and you should spot a crack through which Eivor can fit. A Book of Knowledge containing the Raven Distraction ranged ability awaits on the other side.
True to its name, Raven Distraction lets Eivor use Synin to briefly distract opponents.
That’s all you need to know about the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Tonnastadir barred door alongside the locked door, its key, and what it unlocks. Also check out our guides on the yellow longboat location and Isle of Ely Monastery ability book.
Note: Initially, his guide mistakenly referenced the locked door as being the barred door. That has now been corrected and we would like to apologize for the error.
