Publisher and developer Rebellion today revealed that Atomfall, a survival-action game exploring post-nuclear Northern England, has locked in its release date to March 27, 2025. Headed to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, the game will also make its way to Xbox and PC Game Pass at launch.
The news was shared through a brand new trailer that offers a glimpse of the Casterfell Woods area while an eerie original folk song plays in the background, showcasing the title’s folk horror influences.
Atomfall Release Date
Three editions of Atomfall are currently available for pre-order.
The Standard Edition benefits from both a digital and physical release – the latter in partnership with Fireshine Games –, including the full game.
Anyone who pre-orders also gets the Basic Supply Bundle DLC which grants a set of items and supplies, including an exclusive melee weapon variant, additional loot caches, and an item recipe.
Available digitally, Atomfall’s Deluxe Edition bundles the Basic Supply Bundle DLC alongside an Enhanced Supply Bundle comprised of an exclusive pistol variant, metal detector skin, and character upgrades.
In addition, owners also get access to the game three days earlier as well as an upcoming story expansion DLC.
Over on the Rebellion Store, the Quarantine Edition promises even more goodies than its Deluxe counterpart.
Atomfall’s post-nuclear world challenges us to sharpen our investigation, exploration, conversation, and combat skills as we work to uncover the mystery at its core.
Whether fighting up close or at a distance, crafting the proper items and weapons is key for survival.
Scavenging for supplies and resources is necessary to both maintain our arsenal and stay alive, but bartering with the area’s inhabitants can also get us what we need.
Rebellion’s upcoming project drew inevitable comparisons to Fallout when it was first revealed, but what we’ve seen so far promises a different kind of dark, post-nuclear adventure. We’ll see whether or not it lives up to the hype early next year.
