When will Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 1 be released? Baldur’s Gate 3’s current state is still going strong, with more than two hundred thousand overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, nearly perfect review scores, and a steady player count since its full release. The game’s immersive experience, stunning visuals, and rich storytelling have definitely contributed to the game’s popularity and kept players busy.
However, as with many other games during early stages after launch, it’s not without a fair share of bugs and glitches. Thankfully, Larian Studios has been paying attention to players’ feedback, rolling out hotfixes from time to time, and promising to release Patch 1, which they claim will include 1000 fixes and tweaks. Here’s when you can expect BG3 Patch 1 to drop.
BG3 Patch 1 Release Date
Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 1 is live today, August 25, 2023. According to the notes, this patch covers over 1,000 bug fixes for issues like NPCs randomly spotting you when they shouldn’t, floating items, the conclusion to Shadowheart’s romance scene not triggering, and more. Other known issues such as visual bugs, cinematic scenes camera positions, and dialogue notifications disappearing too early have also been tackled.
Earlier, Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios, shared some details regarding Baldur’s Gate 3 updates. In his Twitter/X account, Vincke mentioned that Patch 1 will include 1000 fixes and tweaks to the game, while Patch 2 will incorporate some requests.
“We’re all very enthused by your feedback. It’s very rewarding. Our focus now is fixing any issues you report, but we are listening to suggestions. Current roadmap: a) Hotfix 4, b) Patch 1 (+1000 fixes and tweaks), c) Patch 2. The latter will already incorporate some requests,” Vincke said.
One of these requests may refer to the ability to customize your character after leaving character creation, as this is one of the most requested features at the moment.
