When will Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 2 be released? Despite only a few weeks after the game’s launch, developer Larian Studios has been very active in engaging with the community—providing updates on the game’s progress and regular fixes, including the massive Patch 1 update.
The first patch managed to include more than 1,000 bug fixes covering NPC behaviors, dialogue flow, cinematic scenes, missing DLC rewards, and many more to bring some quality-of-life improvements to enhance the player experience.
We’re also lucky to know what’s in store for Patch 2, thanks to a tweet from Swen Vincke, the CEO and founder of Larian Studios. Here’s everything you need to know about Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 2 release date.
BG3 Patch 2 Release Date
Unfortunately, the exact release date of BG3 Patch 2 hasn’t been announced yet. However, we know that it’s just around the corner, considering this is part of the current roadmap, which the team is currently putting their focus and effort on.
This suggests that the release date is imminent, and players won’t have to wait too long for the patch to arrive. At the moment, we can assume that the second patch will come around next week in late August or early September.
According to Vincke’s post, the second patch will include “some requests,” referring to implementing players’ feedback. In that case, it’s possible that we’ll be seeing the ability to customize your character after leaving character creation, as this is one of the most requested features.
In other news, Larian Studios also mentioned that the second patch will include “major performance improvements, many new tweaks & changes” as well as “incorporating feedback into Origin Character epilogues, among other major things.” Players can also expect more details coming soon.
