Bellwright is now available in early access on Steam, and you may be wondering if there are any cheats or console commands available to help build your economy up quickly or pass through challenging parts of the game easily.
Unfortunately, Bellwright does not feature any console commands or cheats. However, the good news is that there’s a thriving modding community actively creating content perfect for altering stats or making adjustments to assist with challenging playthroughs.
Keyboard Commands
There are keyboard commands, which we will go over briefly before we give you a list of mods that you can use as a substitute for console commands.
When you’re commanding units in Bellwright, there are certain keyboard commands that you can use to control what food and weapons or armor your soldiers will pick up before they head into battle.
If you select a number of your soldiers and press the ‘O’ key, an army list will appear for your soldiers with an ‘?’ on each soldiers name, which you can use as a dropdown preference for them to grab what food, weapons, and armour you want from your stockpile.
This will stop hungry soldiers from running away during battle to find food and makes micromanagement easier as you won’t have to select each soldier to equip them. If done correctly, soldiers should automatically equip the best items for their stats.
Here’s a list of mods we feel you can use as cheats.
Keep in mind that you will need the Mods Unlocker Downloaded and installed before you can use any of these mods in Bellwright.
The Best Bellwright Mods for Cheating
Food Lasts Longer and No Food Spoil
Increases the duration of food effects to 24 hours, with an optional version that extends to raw food as well. Food will not spoil under these conditions, making the game easier as there’s less micromanagement for you to think about. It’s a very good mod for beginners.
Inventory Expansions
TheDarknessKitten has changed the carrying capacity of our bag, small backpack, and log sling, with several upgraded versions to cater to varying needs. The base models start with modest capacities: the bag offers 9 slots in a 3x3 grid, the small backpack provides 20 slots in a 4x5 grid, and the log sling holds 18 slots in a 3x6 configuration.
As demands for more storage grew during play, the modder introduced the x2 Storage facility, doubling or nearly doubling the space: the bag expanded to 18 slots, the small backpack to 42 slots, and the log sling to 36 slots.
Increase Health and Stamina
This Bellwright Mod will boost your base health, stamina, or both by x2 or x3. The author quickly warns that these adjustments will also raise the health of NPCs and bandits, which levels it out during combat, but the creator is working to remove the Bandit’s buff.
Housing Expansion
This modification expands the villager capacity per housing type in Bellwright by employing a multiplier. Tier 1 defaults to 2, Tier 2 to 3, and Tier 3 to 5 villagers. The current x2 version ensures that the Big House accommodates 10 villagers, equivalent to the capacity of the Inn. You won’t need to build as many houses with this mod.
Joew’s Bellwright Bag Expanded
This simple mod for Bellwright increases your Bag Sizes to 9x30 slots, so you can store way more items. That’s it.
These mods are all safe to use, but if you want us to add any that you’ve been using, please feel free to reach out and let us know.
We will continue to follow the modding community to see if any more mods come out that can be used as cheats, or if Console Commands get added to Bellwright by using a third-party tool.
