S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
The latest big release of 2025, Stalker 2 marks the return of a classic post-apocalyptic immersive sim series. Blend a first-person shooter, open-world exploration, RPG elements, and an added dash of survival (with emphasis on survival horror) and you’ll get this one.
Set in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone after a fictitious second nuclear explosion, the game puts you in the shoes of the titular Stalker, an adventurer ready to brave the radioactive wasteland. You’ll get to either work with or fight against various factions and others willing to do anything to get their hands on mysterious and extremely valuable artifacts created by the said explosion. The place is also crawling with all sorts of mutated beasts, so you’re in for a fun time.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is available on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Experience the next chapter in the Black Ops saga. Black Ops 6 takes you to the early 1990s. As a rogue CIA operative, your task is to take down a mysterious terrorist organization known as the Pantheon. You get a couple of new moves, such as omnidirectional movement: you can sprint, dive, and slide in any direction you want. Large missions with multiple ways to complete your objectives are a blast to play for sure, so single-player fans will certainly be pleased.
Multiplayer comes with a whole set of classic modes and maps for you to duke it out on, as well as the Zombies mode, as usual. Fighting them undead once again entails surviving against endless waves of enemies across several maps. If that sounds fun, this is gonna be your jam. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is one of the most exciting FPS games released lately, so be sure to check it out.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Black Myth: Wukong
What if you took a classical Chinese novel – Journey to the West – and turned it into an action RPG? Black Myth: Wukong is the answer. You play as the Destined One, a warrior monkey capable of shapeshifting into all sorts of creatures, each with their own health bar and moves. Your mission? Bring back Sun Wukong by finding six mystical relics that will revive him and restore his senses.
To do so, you’ll explore six different locations. While the realms are mostly fictional, you’ll get to see some real-world landmarks and iconic buildings. Excellent, fast-paced combat and gorgeous visuals make Black Myth: Wukong a blast to play and a treat to look at. Grab it if action RPGs are your thing.
Black Myth: Wukong is available on PC and PlayStation 5, with the Xbox Series X/S version to be released at an unspecified date.
Frostpunk 2
Ah yes, the sequel to an incredibly gritty and dark post-apocalyptic survival strategy, this time even grittier and more morally ambiguous. You’re in charge of New London and it’s up to you to help the city survive and – hopefully – thrive. This time you can build an even bigger city.
You have to take a lot of factors into account while expanding and building new districts, though. Various factions will arise and often challenge your leadership, forcing you to make tough political and moral choices that nobody will like. Still, it’s always for the greater good and the survival of humanity.
Frostpunk 2 is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
Farming Simulator 25
If your childhood dream was to become a farmer, here’s some good news: you can make it come true via the latest addition to the Farming Simulator franchise. This excellent sim lets you experience what it feels like to tend to your farmstead in the coziness of your bedroom. Yeah, it’s not the real thing, but who cares?
Farming Simulator 25 lets you drive a wide variety of farm vehicles, tend to crops and livestock – you know, all the good stuff. We also got a new, Asia-themed map and over 400 different vehicles and implements, plus new crops and animals. If you’re looking for an amazingly relaxing sim, be sure to give this one a shot.
Farming Simulator 25 is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
And that’s all, folks! These are some of the best picks for your next Christmas-time adventure. Naturally, it’s just five games, so if you’re looking for even more amazing titles and hot deals on these, be sure to head over to G2A.COM and check them out right now!
