Bethesda is actively promoting Arkane Austin’s upcoming open-world vampire slayer game, Redfall, and this particular promotional effort might just be the best one yet.
Arkane Austin’s Harvey Smith has handpicked five vampire films that served as inspiration for the creation of Redfall. These films will be showcased during an all-night movie marathon at London’s Prince Charles Cinema next month.
Arkane Austin and Bethesda Present a Night of Bloodsucking Films
The marathon begins at 9 pm BST on April 15th and concludes at 8 am the following day. Aspiring vampires may want to leave early to avoid an unexpected encounter with sunlight. Tickets will be available for purchase starting Friday, March 31st, through the Prince Charles Cinema website.
So, which movies are being screened? It’s an impressive selection that will undoubtedly be enjoyable to watch on the big screen.
The Lost Boys seems like an obvious pick given Redfall’s own vision of a seaside town corrupted by vampires. Then we have Tobe Hooper’s unsettling adaptation of Stephen King’s Salem’s Lot. Speaking of book adaptations, the third choice is Tomas Alfredson’s Let the Right One In. After that is the pulpy goodness of 30 Days of Night (a personal favorite), and rounding off the selection is the understated Jim Jarmusch film Only Lovers Left Alive.
Redfall heads to Xbox platforms and PC on May 2.
