Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer The Parasight today unveiled a new trailer for upcoming action-adventure game Blacktail, showcasing more of its fairytale world.
Although keeping things rather brief with its 30-second runtime, Blacktail’s latest trailer does give us a glimpse at more of the surreal locations and creatures protagonist Yaga encounters along her journey.
Blacktail blends first-person archery combat with magic and dark storytelling, being inspired by classic Slavic folk tales.
Players step into the shoes of Yaga, a 16-year-old girl accused of witchcraft and expelled from her medieval settlement after the disappearance of her twin sister and protector Zora.
As living memories of Yaga’s past return as foul, walking spirits, you must hunt down and face them, trusty bow at your side.
You’ll need to craft arrows, potions, and gather materials as you explore the game’s different biomes.
You’ll fight your fair share of enemies, including powerful bosses, uncover treasures as well as find lost recipes that make you stronger and alter your playstyle.
Blacktail’s morality system also gives you the power to decide not just the fate of the land but also that of its inhabitants, your choices also impacting the skills at your disposal.
Blacktail is slated to launch on December 15, when it heads to PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5.
