Alchemical materials such as Gold are yet another type of item you’ll find yourself looking for in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night. It’s all for a good purpose, however, as they help you become stronger when dealing with the game’s many opponents.

Bloodstained Ritual of the Night Gold Material
The gold material, not to be confused with the currency, used to drop regularly from chests in the Hidden Desert. Sadly, it appears to have been patched in the meantime, making it harder to obtain.
The sole way we found in which you could get your hands on the gold material in Bloodstained Ritual of the Night is by crafting it. You’ll find the recipe book in the Libre Ex Machina area, carefully hidden behind a dragon. You’ll also need to have 50 Mercury and 10 Dark Matter on you.
Luckily, it seems that after crafting gold material for the first time, Dominique will then sell you it in Arvantville at any time.
