Borderlands 2 is one of the most popular video games ever made - with good reason - and it's just about time that we've gotten a new Borderlands experience, following the comparatively mild Pre-Sequel. Good thing, then, that there's something interesting coming our way soon.
Borderlands 2 VR is the explosively remade Borderlands 2 specifically to cater to the needs of a modern virtual reality headset. In this case, we're talking about PlayStation VR specifically, but who knows - the game might eventually even make its way to PC.
The showcased gameplay sequence (which you can check out down below, too) looks like good old Borderlands 2, except a bit jankier when it comes to movement, and a bit more bombastic when it comes to just how much it gets into your face. Sadly, Borderlands 2 VR will be singleplayer-only, to account for VR functionality.
Further modifications to core Borderlands gameplay include Bad-Ass Mega Fun Time, which is essentially slow-motion, and various skill-related optimisations that had to be made in order to take into consideration both the game's singleplayer focus, and BAMF as well.
While this is no Borderlands 3, Borderlands 2 VR may well follow suit behind Skyrim VR, which was also originally released as a PSVR exclusive, only to soon come out on PC as well. Stay tuned!
