Brawlhalla’s Season 17 officially kicks off today, bringing with it new ranked rewards, a soft ELO reset and more.
Season 17 adds the Trophy Emote and Jewel Nameplate as new ranked rewards purchasable from the ranked tab in Brawlhalla’s store, Mallhalla.
Skyforged and Goldforged versions are available for all the new rewards which can be bought, as usual, using Glory.
Brawlhalla Season 17
As it begins, Brawlhalla’s Season 17 also introduces a soft ELO reset meant to give players a clean slate for the next 13-or-so weeks. The reset follows the below formula:
1v1 and 2v2 Personal Rating
- Under 1400: New Elo = Old Elo
- Over 1400: New Elo = 1400 + (Old Elo – 1400) / (3 – (3000 – Old Elo) / 800)
2v2 Team and Legend Rating
- 2v2 Team & Legend Ratings have been brought closer to 750.
- Under 2000: Elo = (Elo + 375) / 1.5
- Over 2000, we aggressively brought you back down as a way of resetting the top tiers. Diamond level players will be reset to high gold or low platinum.
Glory is also earned based on your performance in Season 16. Your Highest Peak rating and the number of total wins both contribute to the total amount of Glory you get to spend in the shop now that Brawlhalla’s Season 17 has started.
You can learn more about Season 16’s ranked border and avatar rewards in this post on the game’s official website.
In the lead-up to Season 17’s start, Brawlhalla’s update 4.03 introduced the game’s 50th Legend, Jaeyun, alongside the new Greatsword weapon. A set of Greatsword skins is also now available for purchase.
