After a number of leaks, Activision has officially unveiled Call of Duty: Warzone as its free-to-play take on the popular battle royale genre.
With very little to go until we can actually dip into it, here’s everything you need to know about Call of Duty: Warzone’s preload, download size and release times.
Call of Duty: Warzone Preload, Download Size, Release Times
Call of Duty: Warzone’s March 10 release date might be when everyone gets access to it, however, the game has different release times depending on whether or now you own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
Owners of Modern Warfare will be able to download the game earlier, their Call of Duty: Warzone release time being set for 8 AM PDT/3 PM GMT. Those who don’t own Modern Warfare will have to wait until 12 PM PDT/7:00 PM GMT to download the title.
Download size will also differ depending on whether or not you own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. If you already have the latest installment all prepared on your hard drive, Call of Duty: Warzone’s download size will only take up between 15GB and 22GB.
If, however, you don’t own Modern Warfare, your download size will be significantly higher, requiring you to download between 80GB and 100GBs’ worth of data before you’ll be able to hop into Call of Duty: Warzone.
Call of Duty: Warzone will not allow preloading and things are unlikely to change, given its release date is so close.
