Cell to Singularity - Evolution Never Ends, the cosmic clicker game that charts the process of human evolution, will receive a set of significant changes when its Reality Reboot expansion launches later this year.
Aiming to “overhaul the Primary Simulation and the Reality Engine,” developer Computer Lunch is “rebuilding the game functionally from the ground up” in an effort to make the later stages of the game more engaging. To this extent, it is collaborating with Chyrsto, founder of Octocube Games, a studio known for its mobile idle games.
Cell to Singularity - Evolution Never Ends Reality Reboot Expansion Release Date
Cell to Singularity’s Reality Reboot expansion “will introduce upgrades, improve tuning, and streamline progression,” the developer explains.
The goal here is to build a longer narrative arc without deviating from the title’s existing core design philosophy, addressing issues with the title’s current pacing. New players reach Singularity within two weeks, while veterans clear new content “within a few days of release.”
“To achieve this, significant updates will be introduced to the Metabit economy and the Prestige system. The early part of the Primary Simulation will remain roughly the same, but the first Prestige will no longer occur at Singularity,” the developer notes.
“Instead, it will unlock once the player reaches Ideas (the brain). With the Prestige system now available earlier, players will have access to new upgrades, content, currencies, and eventually future in-game lore.
“Players will also be given the choice to unlock and upgrade their Reality Engine to enhance their simulation. Different players will have their own preferences: some want to reset frequently, while others prefer to do so rarely. We want to accommodate both playstyles (and everything in between).”
Furthermore, Cell to Singularity’s Reality Reboot expansion also splits Metabits into two prestige currencies, Entrobits and Ideabits, expanding the available strategic options.
“Existing Metabits will be converted to Entrobits, which can be used to purchase existing upgrades. Ideabits will be introduced when players reach the Singularity and can be used to purchase new upgrades in the Reality Engine.”
In addition, the Compiler System aims to simplify and better explain how prestige currencies are generated.
Duplicate nodes will become single, stackable upgrades, and new, unique upgrades further expand the Reality Engine.
