Chivalry 2’s console server browser is one of many features on the medieval first-person slasher’s post-launch roadmap and one that Xbox and PlayStation users are looking forward to.
Where quick match allows for speedy matchmaking, perfect for those moments when you just want to play, a console server browser would allow Chivalry 2 players on Xbox and Playstation to fine-tune their searches and make sure they join servers of the desired size and supporting the game mode and map they’re looking for.
The game’s PC version launched with a server browser that lets you sort servers by type, name, player count, game mode, and ping. It also has a series of relatively basic filters. With a bit of luck, its console counterpart won’t be all that far behind.
According to the roadmap linked above, Chivalry 2 is bound to get a console server browser when its second post-launch patch lands.
At the moment, it is slated for a June/July release. While it’s always good to remain optimistic, it’s worth keeping in mind that features can get shifted around or delayed, as development progresses.
Also coming in Chivalry 2’s second patch are various auto-balance improvements and fixes for console users unable to initiate vote kicks, when other players show a massive lack of honor.
