Chivalry 2 has been delayed until 2021, publisher Tripwire Interactive and developer Torn Banner Studios announced today.
The delay means that Chivalry 2 will release simultaneously on PC, as an Epic Games Store exclusive, Xbox One Series X, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4.
“As we settle in to working together in new ways in a COVID-19 world, our development timelines are shifting to utilize this additional time to better meet our core goals for Chivalry 2, as well as allowing us to incorporate several quality of life improvements and also include what was originally post-launch content, in the release.” reads the post announcing Chivarly 2’s delay.

The delay also means that Chivalry 2’s Summer beta has been pushed back to a currently undisclosed date.
Torn Banner is currently working on more Alpha rounds for the game, using the extra time to gather more feedback.
Although this news comes as a disappointment to fans, the developer has noted that the delay “means more maps and game features will be playable at launch than we had originally scoped”.
Horses – one of Chivalry 2’s bigger additions – will, however, not be a part of the game’s 64-player battles until after launch. You can learn more about the title by visiting its website.
