Among the many impressive aspects of Death Stranding was its soundtrack, which featured a mix of Kojima’s favorite tunes and original compositions from artists like Bring Me The Horizon and Chvrches.
Following their recent appearance on Hideo Kojima’s Brain Structure podcast on Spotify, there has been speculation about Chvrches’ involvement in Death Stranding 2. In a chat with NME, Martin Doherty, the band’s synth player, responded to these rumors.
Chvrches express interest in Death Stranding 2
'’I mean, we’re available’’ said Doherty when quizzed about their involvement. '’There’s nothing formal yet. We’ve talked, we’ve hinted heavily at each other that we would both like to collaborate again.’’
'’There’s sort of a dance going on right now. I don’t want to be rejected by all out saying, ‘Can we be on the game please?’ and (Kojima) says no. But I don’t know.’’
On the Brain Structure podcast earlier this year, Hideo Kojima pondered how best to utilize the synth-pop band, even teasing the idea of featuring 100 songs by them.
Kojima has also met with musician Woodkid in recent months, so there’s another artist in the picture for Death Stranding 2’s soundtrack.
