Is Civilization 7 Available on Xbox Game Pass?

Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 promises to significantly shake up things for the long-running 4X strategy series, introducing a host of notable changes to core systems. Mixing and matching different leaders and civilizations alone has been the topic of much discussion pre-launch, leaving quite a few of us wondering whether or not the game might also arrive on Xbox or PC Game Pass.

Regardless if it ushers in a golden era for the series or not, evolution remains scary and Civ7’s presence on Xbox/PC Game Pass would offer anyone who’s still on the fence about purchasing it a chance to try the game out for a lower cost.

Sadly, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will not be available on Xbox and PC Game Pass when it launches in February 2025. The strategy game was not included in the first batch of titles coming to the service during the month.

It’s also unclear whether or not we can expect it to become part of Microsoft’s popular subscription service at a later point in time, given how its predecessors are also missing from the ever-growing list of games that subscribers can currently install and play.

Although we cannot rule out Civ 7 coming to Xbox or PC Game Pass further down the line, a traditional purchase looks like the only option to try out the highly-anticipated sequel, at least for now.
