A public beta is live as of November 16, giving interested players a chance to test the upcoming content and provide feedback.
The first major feature coming in Conan Exiles’ Age of War Chapter 3 is Fortress Assault. This essentially allows us to siege a fortress raised by the Stygians in the ruins of al-Merayah, putting an end to their efforts to amass more wealth.
From its outer defenses all the way to its inner chamber, where we’ll face the Commander of the Stygian forces, this allows us to go through all steps of a siege, earning gold and glory should we prove successful.
When Conan Exiles’ Age of War Chapter 3 release date occurs, we’ll also be able to open our own tavern, where we can kick back and relax after successfully taking over enemy fortresses.
After freeing the barkeep from an enemy purge camp, they’ll settle down in our tavern, allowing it to fill with NPCs over time.
We can then hire these NPCs as either guards or workers, turning the tavern into another source of followers.
As expected, a new battle pass and Bazaar cosmetic items are also on the way, including new Vanir and Yamatai-themed tavern placeables.
They’re joined by an expanded Aesir building set, while new chess tiles and life-size board pieces let us “play literally the biggest chess-game of our life.”
Funcom will share more details about Conan Exiles’ Age of War Chapter 3 closer to its release date.
