Publisher System 3 has announced that city builder Constructor Plus has locked down its release dates to February. The title will first release on Feburary 15 on Nintendo Switch, followed by a February 28 launch on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
“The amount of content on offer is unprecedented in the decades-long history of the franchise – and we didn’t even need to hire any hippies to disrupt the competition.” System 3 CEO Mark Hale said.
To anyone unaware, Constructor Plus puts players at the helm of a construction company, tasking them with building and maintaining properties, keeping tenants happy and managing resources. The twist is that you’re competing against other building companies. Offline, the AI controls them, while real players can compete against you in the game’s online multiplayer mode.
When fulfilling council requests and honestly expanding your business isn’t enough, Constructor Plus lets you make use of Undesirables, such as hippies, chainsaw-wielding psychopaths or even the mob, to get the upper hand.
Constructor Plus the ante in terms of content, when compared to last year’s Constructor HD, offering 139 buildings (over three times as many), 17 worlds to play in (some set in outer space), 65 pre-built city levels and a story mode.
The story mode comes with 15 missions, all with their own puzzles and challenges. Other new features include the ability to build monuments, casinos and slow down time, to “allow multiple/complex tasks to be carried out in fewer days”.
