Counter-Strike 2’s visual and technical refresh has given Valve’s an expected boost in popularity, securing it a comfortable spot among the most-played games on Steam. If you find yourself often planting or defusing bombs, you may be looking for CS2 console commands and cheats to spice things up.
Counter-Strike 2’s console commands fulfill a couple of different roles, from setting your FPS limit to altering how the game works. The latter are the closest thing we have to CS2 cheats, given how it is primarily a PvP-focused game, meaning that some of the entries on the list below will only work in private matches.
Counter-Strike 2 Console Commands and Cheats
In order to access Counter-Strike 2 console commands and cheats, you’ll first need to bring up the in-game console, which isn’t activated by default.
To do so, you’ll want to head to the settings menu and navigate to the Game tab. In it, you’ll spot the Enable Developer Console setting, which should be fairly self-explanatory.
Select Yes from the dropdown menu to its right, and you’ll be able to bring up the console in-game by pressing the tilde key (`).
If you prefer using a different key, you can rebind it from the Keyboard/Mouse tab. Look for the Toggle Console button under UI Keys.
Below, you’ll find a list of useful CS2 console commands and cheats that help you get more information and have more fun during private matches.
- cl_showfps 0-4 - Shows frame rate on-screen (0 disables it, numbers from 1-4 offer increasing amount of details)
- cl_crosshairstyle 0-5 - Switches between different types of crosshairs
- cl_crosshaircolor 0-5 - Switches between different colors of crosshairs
- fps_max x - Sets frame rate limit to specified number, removes frame rate limit if set to 0
- clear - Clears text from console
- disconnect - Disconnects you from the server
- quit - Quits CS2
- cl_drawhud 0 - Removes HUD
- cl_drawhud 1 - Enables HUD
- thirdperson - Switches to third-person camera
- firstperson - Switches to first person camera
- sv_cheats 0 - Disables cheats
- sv_cheats 1 - Turns on cheats
- god - Grants invulnerability
- kill - Embrace death
- noclip - Gain ability to fly and move unhindered through walls
- sv_infinite_ammo 1 - Grants infinite ammo
- sv_autobunnyhopping 0 - Disables bunnyhopping
- sv_autobunnyhopping 1 - Enables bunnyhopping
- give weapon_name - Grants specified weapon
- give item_name - Grants specified item minesweeper kit
- mp_roundtime x - Sets round time to X minutes
- mp_maxrounds x - Sets amount of maximum rounds to specified number
- mp_warmup_start - Starts warm-up period
- mp_warmup_end - Ends warm-up
- mp_startmoney x - Sets amount of starting money to specified amount
- mp_restartgame 1 - Restarts server
- mp_buy_anywhere 1 - Disables buying weapons and equipment anywhere
- mp_buy_anywhere 1 - Enables buying weapons and equipment anywhere
- bot_place - Spawns a bot where your cursor is pointing
- bot_kill - Kills all bots
- bot_dont_shoot 0 - Enables bots to attack
- bot_dont_shoot 1 - Forbids bots from attacking
- bot_add_ct - Adds a bot for the Counter-Terrorist team
- bot_add_t - Adds a bot for the Terrorist team
