Each day comes with a new set of requests from Cozy Grove’s ghostly inhabitants and, sooner rather than later, you’ll be tasked with retrieving Rare Fish for them.
Cozy Grove’s Rare Fish don’t seem to be available for purchase from any of the vendors that inhabit the island, at least during the game’s early days. This means that, if you plan on completing those requests and helping your new bear friends restore their memories, you’ll have to summon your inner fisherman.
Fishing is something you learn early on, after purchasing your very own Fishing Rod from Mr. Kit. It’s as simple as equipping the tool in your hand slot, clicking on the round icon above your character, pulling in the direction opposite of where you want it to go, releasing, and keeping an eye on when one of the shadows in the water bites the lure.
Some of these shadows will inevitably be Rare Fish but there currently doesn’t seem to be any way for you to expressly target them in Cozy Grove. Simply put, it’s all down to luck. Fish come in a couple of rarities, ranging from Common all the way to Legendary which, just like their types, seem to be randomized.
As the name implies, Rare Fish are by default harder to find, which is why it’s best to equip yourself with patience when setting out to get them. Once you’ve turned in the required amount for your quests, you can burn any remaining ones at Flamey for some Charred Fishbones, useful when repairing tools that break down.
