Captain Billweather Snout’s seafaring days might be over when you set foot on Cozy Grove’s island, but that doesn’t mean he’s done adventuring in every sense. After a rather intense experience with one particular beverage, he’ll ask for a soothing jar of Tea Egg to help him recover.
Cozy Grove Tea Egg doesn’t grow on trees, though, and you’ll need to both learn how to craft it and obtain the proper ingredients, if you’re hoping to help the poor captain. Luckily, he gives you the recipe as soon as you pick up his quests, so you can learn it by accessing your inventory.
Before you can craft the beverage, you’ll need to obtain one teaspoon of salt, one happy bird essence, and one boiled egg. You can purchase salt from either Mr. Kit or Pandam, although the latter only visits the island on Wednesdays.
Happy bird essence can be obtained in a couple of ways. You get it as a quest reward, but can also find it as you forage and dig up holes or purchase it from Mr. Kit, although he doesn’t always seem to have it in his store.
By far the most reliable method of obtaining the essence and eggs, however, is buying birds, placing them down in an area whose decorations suit their preferences, and feeding them the proper food. It seems to drop from Adult Birds, mostly, so you’ll need to make sure they reach the second maturity stage.
This, however, may not always be possible, depending on how you approached playing the game, and we ourselves had to rely on the methods mentioned earlier. All birds are, however, a good source of eggs, as we mentioned in our dedicated guide that delves into how you can get them.
Once you have everything listed above, speak to Allison, tell her you want to bake things, select the Tea Egg, and press craft. After one hour, you can pick it up from Patrice Furbac up north, and you’ll be one step closer to completing the captain’s quest.
