UPDATE APRIL 20: Crossfire: Legion to enter early access in late May.
Publisher Prime Matter and developer Blackbird Interactive today announced that real-time strategy game Crossfire: Legion is set to enter Steam Early Access in Spring 2022. The title’s first roadmap was also revealed, detailing what players can expect over the first four months of the year.
January brings Crossfire: Legion technical test, which is now live and features two playable factions – Blacklist and Global Risk – two maps as well as the multiplayer versus mode. PvP is the main focus as the title moves forward with its initial early access phase.
Its third faction will be revealed and made playable in February, which is when the first look demo also becomes available alongside a number of new maps.
Ranked games and modes alongside in-game communication tools are coming in March, according to Crossfire: Legion’s first roadmap, while April will bring army customization, the mentorship program, and see the strategy game’s public open beta kicking off.
Although PvP multiplayer leads the charge, Crossfire: Legion’s full version will also feature a narrative-driven campaign, as well as co-op scenarios.
