Cyberpunk 2077’s has gone through a rather tumultuous year, but CD Projekt doesn’t expect next-gen development and its recent delay to impact the timing of its post-launch DLC.
Cyberpunk 2077’s third delay arrived after the game went gold earlier this month, prompting a call to investors. During it, the question of whether or not the game now releasing in December and being developed for two console generations would impact its DLC.
“Regarding expansions –we expect no impact. Fortunately, those who are finishing the game and are now involved in those final processes, are not required at this stage of development of the expansions.” said CD Proket joint CEO Adam Kiciński.
Cyberpunk 2077 Third Delay and Next-Gen Development Expected "no impact" on DLC
“We don’t expect that this will influence our further schedules.”
Developer CD Projekt Red is using the extra three weeks to bring Cyberpunk 2077’s current-gen console version close to the state of its PC and next-gen counterparts.
The RPG’s delay also led to Path of Exile developer Grinding Gear Games postponing the launch of the free-to-play title’s 3.13 expansion.
