Dark and Darker Server Status - Failed to Connect to Server Error

Dark and Darker’s Alpha Playtest is rapidly gaining popularity on Steam, running from Feb 6th to 13th. Despite several hotfixes being released, it may come with downtime and server status issues leading to disconnections. If you have been enjoying the dark dungeons with friends and have faced disconnections, you may want to schedule your adventures ahead to avoid any interruptions.

You’ve probably experienced the Failed to Connect to Server Error and are wondering why the servers are down, so we’ll aim to provide you with server status reports and the available resources to find out more.

Dark and Darker Server Status Log

• Dark and Darker last went offline on the 14th February, 2023

Ironmace has confirmed this morning that it will need to bring Dark and Darker’s servers down in order to deploy Hotfix #6.

“Alpha #4 Playtest Hotfix #6 will start now and take about an hour and a half to complete.”

Here’s a list of changes with the latest Hotfix #5:

Changes:

• Fixed an issue with Cave Troll not recognizing the Pavise.
• Fixed an issue where the Lich would take damage to himself during melee attacks.
• Fixed issue with buying gold with silver coins.
• Haste duration changed from 11 to 8 seconds.
• Savage Roar’s fear duration changed from 4 to 3 seconds.
• Cave Troll's magic resistance has been removed.
• From now on, there will be a level limit for entering High-Rollers.
• Updated Ironshield logic for several known exploits.
