Darkest Dungeon 2 is a roguelike journey that combines turn-based strategy with RPG elements. Players equip their stagecoach and traverse a decaying landscape on a desperate quest to prevent the apocalypse. It will finally be released on PlayStation 5 and PS4 after releasing on PC back on 8th May, 2023.
The base game, along with the DLC ‘The Binding Blade,’ and the Oblivion bundle - which includes both the base game and DLC - will be available for cross-buy on both PS4 and PS5.
When is Darkest Dungeon 2 releasing on PS5?
Darkest Dungeon 2 will release on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on the 15th of July.
“We have been very eager to bring Darkest Dungeon 2 to PlayStation players,” said Tyler Sigman, Design Director for Red Hook Studios.
“The game feels great with DualSense Controller–we’ve been able to add touches like feeling the heartbeat of a hero on death’s door, or the rumble of the stagecoach’s wheels as it hits a trap. Darkest Dungeon I was fortunate to find a strong community on PlayStation and we hope the same proves true with the sequel.” Sigman added.
Darkest Dungeon 2 has five campaign scenarios, each with its unique atmospheric feel and challenging boss showdowns. Players can choose from a total roster of 14 playable heroes, including the Duelist and the Crusader from The Binding Blade DLC.
Darkest Dungeon 2 arrives on PS4 and PS5 on July 15th, 2024. Pre-orders are opening up today. You can also find it on the Humble Store for PC.
