Darksiders Warmastered Edition, Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition, and Steep have been unveiled as the three games that round off the Epic Games Store’s first year of freebies.
Prior to the three titles, the Epic Games Store also celebrated the holidays by giving away a new game in each of the previous thirteen days, concluding with last year’s Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair.
Darksiders, Darksiders II, and Steep Free Epic Games Store
Players can pick up Darksiders, Darksiders II, and Steep for free until January 9. As with previous free titles, you just need to log into your Epic Games Store account and go through the usual purchase procedure for each game. At checkout you’ll notice that they don’t cost anything.
There’s also a chance that Darksiders, Darksiders II, and Steep will be the final free games to be offered for free on Epic’s storefront. The Epic Games Store has offered free titles on a mostly weekly basis for the entirety of 2019.
In each of these situations, the following week’s free games were shown in advance. During the Christmas daily giveaway, the next day’s free game was teased through an image containing a relevant symbol. This time around, however, there’s no mention of a future giveaway.
Epic has confirmed that Darksiders, Darksiders II, and Steep mark the end of its 2019 holiday promotion but hasn’t expanded on whether it will continue offering free games on a regular basis in 2020.
As the finale to our 12... err, 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘯 Days of Free Games promotion, these three games will be available for FREE on the #EpicGamesStore until January 9 (10:59 AM Eastern).
