There’s plenty of gear to chase in Dauntless, including exotic weapons, which can require reagents like the elemental tailgem. These, however, can take a bit more involvement from you to get and that might not be clear right away.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to get the elemental tailgem in Dauntless and upgrade or craft yourself some new gear.
Dauntless Elemental Tailgem
The Dauntless elemental tailgem is required for crafting exotic weapons like The Hunger, The Godhand an Molten Edict. As the name suggests, you’re going to want to go after Behemoths infused with elements.
Not only is the elemental tailgem a rare reagent, which means it can take a while to drop, but it requires a strong focus on breaking a Behemoth’s tail.
Breaking it at any point during the fight isn’t enough. For a chance to get the Dauntless elemental tailgem you’ll have to do so in the first two minutes of the battle which isn’t always an easy feat. Then again, pulling off these challenging tasks is part of what makes Dauntless appealing.
