Behavior Interactive has revealed what’s in store for the Haunted by Daylight 2024 event in Dead by Daylight. Marking the start of the spooky Halloween season, the Haunted by Daylight event features new a tome, collections, merchandise, and beyond.
During a livestream for the event, Behaviour Interactive unveiled this year’s dose of seasonal specialties which included the return of the 2v8 mode and Tome 21: Dominus, and more.
The stream began with discussions of the Dead by Daylight board game and its expansions. The newest is set to arrive in 2025, but pre-orders are live now. Twitch drops were also revealed for the month.
Dead by Daylight Haunted by Daylight 2024 Event Release Date
This year’s Dead by Daylight Haunted by Daylight Event will begin on the 17th of October.
This year expands on last year’s Void Realm theme. Portals could be created by void energy. The portals were open for a short time and allowed players to pop up all around the map. In this year’s edition, there will be a portal from the start, and more portals can be opened at once. Killer powers will work in the Void itself, and there are tells for killers when Survivors enter the Void. Survivors must be wary, as there’s no terror radius in the Void.
Also new are the Void Well and Void Crystals. Survivors can use Void Crystals as smokescreens to escape killers. Killers’ Void Well perk causes Survivors to scream and reveal themselves to the killer.
Daily login rewards will offer blood points, currency, and more.
Dead by Daylight Tome 21: Dominus Release Date
Tome 21: Dominus, which arrives October 8, is an extension of the Castlevania season. The name refers to the recent Castlevania: Dominus collection. The Tome will utilize the history of Castlevania in the items you can get. For instance, Dracula gets a new legendary costume called True Form, which makes the prince of darkness more monstrous. Beyond the Castlevania stuff, there’s Gothic-themed content, including outfits.

Also announced was the Halloween Blight Collection, which gives several killers and Survivors a Blight makeover, including Chucky and Nicholas Cage. In addition, an Alien Collection brings fresh designs for the Xenomorph and Ellen Ripley.
The day after the Haunted by Daylight event starts is officially Dead by Daylight Day which will be celebrated with a challenge track that offers new cosmetics for a variety of Survivors and killers.
Finally, 2v8 returns in a new iteration from November 12 to November 26, 2024. Changes and additions include more Killers and maps. The Deathslinger, the Blight, and the Spirit join the 2v8 roster along with their respective maps.
Based on player feedback from the previous iteration, the Survivors’ dynamic has changed, so the use of Killers and Survivors is more balanced. Survivors’ abilities in this mode will allow self-healing and pallet-rebuilding. Other tweaks to balance include a change in the system when the advantage heads too far one way.
