Dead by Daylight’s sizeable roster of villains might see Stranger Things season 4’s villain, Vecna, joining its ranks in the future.
According to a recent rumor, Netflix is in talks with developer Behaviour Interactive to bring Stranger Things back to Dead by Daylight.
Dead by Daylight Vecna Killer 2022
The asymmetrical multiplayer horror game already received a batch of Stranger Things-themed content in 2019, when Chapter 13 launched. It introduced The Demogorgon as a Killer, Nancy Wheeler, and Steve Harrington as Survivors, alongside a new map – The Underground Complex.
Two years later, the chapter stopped being available for purchase, although existing owners could still access its content.
According to Twitter user DbDLeaks, via Fortnite leaker FNBRintel, the two companies are in talks to not only bring back Chapter 13 – possibly making it available for purchase once more – but also add new content to DbD, including Vecna, the baddie featured in the series fourth season.
They also point out that Chapter 13’s content should be “back on Christmas 2022.”
This is certainly an opportune moment for the collaboration to resume, with the show still being massively popular even as it comes to an end in early July.
However, as with all rumors, it’s recommended to take the news with a grain of salt until we receive official confirmation from Netflix and Behaviour Interactive. We’ve reached out for comment and will let you know if we hear anything back.
While we wait to see if Vecna will actually enter the Fog in the future, 2022 has a bunch of other PC horror games that can keep us frightened (but also entertained).
