Dead by Daylight’s update 3.0.0 is set to go live later today and developer Behaviour Digital has shared the patch notes detailing all changes and additions in advance.
The main addition coming in update 3.0.0 is, without a doubt, the new Killer, the Ghost Face. The name will sound familiar to horror movie enthusiasts, as the character is inspired by Ghostface from the Scream movie series.
Dead By Daylight Update 3.0.0 Patch Notes
Alongside The Ghost Face, Dead by Daylight’s update 3.0.0 also introduces new menu and lobby music. Players will also now be able to rotate characters while in the lobby.
The update 3.0.0 patch notes also reveal a fairly large number of balance changes and bug fixes coming to Dead by Daylight. Killer swing animations have all been modified and should now match the distance at which they can hit a survivor for more reliable visual feedback. Players will also no longer be able to perform fast vaults when beside windows or in contact with walls.
The small rooms in Lery’s Memorial Institute will spawn with the same window configuration now, saying goodbye to the RNG previously present. A number of survivor and killer perks have received balance changes as well. You can see how update 3.0.0 changes Dead by Daylight in detail in the full patch notes over on the game’s forum.
