Dead Island 2 is finally making its long-awaited debut, after years spent in development hell. Quite a bit of time has passed since its announcement, which means that we’re dealing with a different set of system requirements than we would have expected when it was originally announced.
As opposed to the zombies that we’ll end up inevitably facing, Dead Island 2’s PC specs won’t thankfully spell doom for those of us whose hardware hasn’t exactly caught up with the times, provided we’re willing to sacrifice some visual fidelity.
Dead Island 2 System Requirements
According to publisher Deep Silver, older CPUs such as the AMD FX-9590 or Intel i7-7700HQ paired with a Radeon R9 480 or GeForce GTX 1060 should see us running the game at 1080p, as long as we’re not aiming higher than 30 FPS.
Nevertheless, Dead Island 2’s minimum system requirements specify 10 GB RAM, which is marginally higher than the previously sufficient 8 GB.
Naturally, the higher up we go in terms of details, the beefier the PC specs we’ll need. Here is the full breakdown, as shared by the publisher.

Going above 1080p and aiming for higher details will require tapping into the power of more modern GPUs and CPUs, but Dead Island 2’s visuals have kept up with the times, so it is to be expected.
That is what you need to know about Dead Island 2’s system requirements and the PC specs we’ll need to run it.
